Accessibility
Access Overview
Access to the theatre is via a side alley and lift. An access host will meet you at the front of the theatre and escort you to the wheelchair spaces. The lift is quite small but manageable. When you exit the lift you need to negotiate a very tight corridor with a turn midway. Even after removing my footplates this was a tight space and larger wheelchairs would definitely not be able to negotiate the bend, (see the Wheel With Me Tab for a wheelchair view). Once through the corridor the accessible toilet is directly in front and another corridor leads to the stalls where the wheelchair spaces are level access.
The bar is located downstairs and there is no option to order a drink to your seat so if you were alone you would need to ask for assistance from the access hosts to get a drink.
Toilet Facilities
The accessible toilet was located at the end of a corridor by the lift access. This was hidden away from the normal toilets so was not used by anyone apart from access patrons. However the corridor to access the toilet also houses the regular toilets and can become congested and blocked especially during the interval or at the end of the show.
The toilet was a good size and suitable for a side transfer.
Access Host
The access host was excellent.
They met us at the front door and held the queue whilst they escorted us into the stalls area via the lift.
They checked on us in the interval and at the end of the show.
However during one performance there were incredibly disruptive and drunk audience members and despite raising this repeatedly they were not challenged or ejected by staff.

Seat & View
There is a level access wheelchair park at the back of the stalls which seats two wheelchairs and two companions in P16,17 and P20,21. There is plenty of space and leg room for the wheelchair because the seats are removed. However the companion seat is fixed. There is also a transfer seat in S20 with companion seat in S21 also in the stalls. For patrons who have visual or hearing access requirements there are designated seats in C35,36,37,38 in the stalls but this is accessed via steps.
The view is generally good but the top of the stage is cut off by the circle overhang. Depending on the production and use of stage this may mean some of the stage is not visible if they use high staging. On every production we have seen there has been a portion of the show high on stage left which has not been visible to us from the wheelchair park. Productions often use projectors or lights which hang down over the wheelchair park and can cause minor view disruption or a hazard when a companion is standing so beware!
