booking
Access booking has recently changed , previously wheelchair users needed to call up for access seating however the London Coliseum has now partnered with the Nimbus card scheme. Now you need to set up a ENO account and link your Nimbus account to
I had already registered for their carer scheme. They link to a Nimbus account so for easiest access you should register for a Nimbus card if you haven't already. All Nimbus application information can be found here .
Once you have a Nimbus card you can register with London Coliseum and link your card, then when you sign in to your account your access needs will be automatically identified and you will be able to book seats online which suit your needs.
The non transfer seats are available in the stalls Box H and Box G, the dress circle Row K1,2 and K56, 57.
I recommend booking online fi you wish to purchase a box seat as over the telephone they will give you a seat in the front row and one in the back row for your companion meaning they won't be able to see much. Online you can book two upfront seats.
If you wish to transfer contact the box office for advice about the best seats on 020 7845 9300 or email box.office@londoncoliseum.org.

Accessibility
Access Overview
There is a level access ramp towards the side of the main entrance leading into the theatre. It is level access Hugh the theatre to the stalls boxes. The only access issue we encountered was a pinch point that resulted from the concession and gift stand being placed directly opposite the stairs restricting access to one person when attempting to access the bathroom or boxes.
Toilet Facilities
The accessible toilet was located at the back of the stalls in the lobby. The first time we visited from Box C it was difficult to access due to the narrow corridor by the stairs. The toilet was also being used by non access patrons (for example one group of five women) who openly stated they didn't want to queue for the normal bathroom which meant that access patrons had a long wait. This included those with limited mobility who struggled to stand. During our second visit an usher was positioned near the toilet to ensure that those who needed to use it got priority.
The toilet itself was large with plenty of space for side transfers.
Access Host
The access host was excellent.
They met us at the front of the theatre and escorted us to our seats and helped us leave during at the end.
They checked on us in the interval and at the end of the show.
They were genuinely interested in feedback of our experience and since our first visit positive changes have been implemented which is great to see.

Seat & View
During our two visits we were seated in Box C and Box F both on the ground floor. They are sold as Boxes with 4-5 purchasable freestanding seats however with a power chair in they become tighter. On the first visit myself, my companion and another gentleman were seated along the front of the box, any additional patrons would have made the box fee very crowded. Also there isn't a rake to the box so those in the second row would need to see between the front row. This is very problematic with a high backed power chair.
Also the boxes are on a side slant meaning you are pushed by gravity to the side. This was incredibly uncomfortable. It does get less sever (although still uncomfortable) the further from the centre of the theatre you are so I would advise choosing seats towards the outside of the box.
The view of the stage was good. For our next visit we will try the seats upstairs in the dress circle to see if they are better.
