booking
Booking was easy and made by online using the ATG website.
I had already registered for their access scheme. They link to a Nimbus account so for easiest access you should register for a Nimbus card if you haven't already. All Nimbus application information can be found here .
Once you have a Nimbus card you can register with ATG and link your card, then when you sign in to your account your access needs will be automatically identified and you will be able to book seats online which suit your needs. The ATG access page can be found here.
Once your account is linked just access the ATG booking page select the show you would like to see and log into your account. Select the show here. Wheelchair accessible seats are shown in Row E of the Dressl Circle with a wheelchair icon, if no wheelchair icon is visible check another date. Once selected the seat will appear with a tick, and then you just reserve and check out. If you require further support you can contact ATG Accessibility assistance line on 00333 009 5399.
In the Phoenix Theatre the dedicated non transfer wheelchair spaces are in Dress Circle Row K. The seats in Dress Circle K1-2, 13-14, 15-16 and 27-28 may be removed to accommodate a single space for a wheelchair user remaining in their wheelchair. An essential companion can be seated next to the space in K3, 12, 17 or 26. These are also the recommended seats.
ATG also offer a variety of adaptations and assistances when booking tickets and visiting the venue. Full information can be found here

Accessibility
Access Overview
The entrance in to the theatre is via a wide level access door leading into the lobby. This area can become very busy before the show and during the interval as there is a bar and cafe here. From here there is an accessible toilet at the back of the lobby next to a lift. At the top of the lift there is another accessible toilet and door into the Dress Circle. From here access to the wheelchair seats is level. You can order interval and pre show drinks to your seats which negates the need to return to the lobby for drinks in the interval.
Toilet Facilities
There are two easy accessible toilets. One was located on the ground floor right next to the lift and one at the top of the lift in the dress circle. Both were good sizes and you could side transfer..
Access Host
The access host was excellent.
They met us at the front door and held the queue whilst they escorted us into the dress circle area via the lift.
They checked on us in the interval and at the end of the show they assisted us out of the theatre.

Seat & View
There are four wheelchair spaces where seats are removed at the back of the circle in Row K with adjacent companion seats. The space is quite tight. These are the seats recommended by the venue but you can contact them and request A28 as a transfer seat.
The view is generally good as the rake is steep but because of the angle a tall person in front will obstruct your view. In addition the top of the stage is cut off by the circle overhang. Depending on the production and use of stage this may mean some of the stage is not visible if they use high staging. For Stranger Things you only miss a small amount of the show but it is during a quite important scene.
The worst part of this seat is by far is the standing people behind you. They were a constant presence and distraction during our visit with movement and talking. They also leant over placing their face very close to my head as I am raised slightly in my chair.
