Booking was easy and made online as I have previously registered for access tickets.

I chose the box again but for the next show I will definitely try the stalls as the view was severely obstructed.

There was no free carer ticket but you go both tickets half price so it works out the same.

Theatre Access

We were seated in the box and access to this was via a side door.

Any access host meets you and escorts you around. This area contained an accessible toilet and there were steps for carers to go to the main theatre to use a different toilet if required or access the bar.

According to the website manual wheelchair users can sit in the stalls via a lift and we did see a couple of wheelchair users below transferring into aisle seats but I did not personally experience this.

Seat and Staging

Toilets

The access host was fantastic.

They met us at the front door and escorted us around the side to our seats.

They asked us if we wanted refreshments before the show and during the interval and were happy to get these for us.

Great service all round.

We sat in the Nederlander Box.

This box was extremely large and there was another gentleman and his carer in the box with us.

The back of the box is raised. There is a ramp for wheelchairs which the access hosts can use.

There is no fixed seating so you can adjust the seating to your requirements.  I sat towards the front of the box as there was another couple who arrived before us in the box (one wheelchair user and his their carer) They had been to the show before and were are of the restrictions so chose the back of the box.

The view was not good at all. A lot of the show was cut off by the large speakers and I could probably see around 50% of the show even when leaning forward. I am definitely going to try the stalls for our next visit.

The toilet was located in the corridor leading to the box. It was incredibly large and there was plenty of room to turn around or side transfer.

As the only access to the toilet was from the box it was also private with only those in the box being able to use it.

I visited in September 2024 and all views expressed above are my personal opinion.

It was my second visit to the Dominion Theatre
