Stranger Things at Phoenix Theatre
Booking
Booking was easy and made online of ATG website. I had previously registered for their access scheme.

There was a free carer ticket and an access rate so the cost was very affordable.

Access Ticket: £20
Carer Ticket: Free
Theatre Location

Centrally located in the heart of the West End.

There are lots of transport links and accessible restaurants located near by including a food hall and Covent Garden .

Theatre Access
We were seated in the back of the circle and access to this was via the front door.

Any access host meets you and escorts you around to the lift. Due to weight restrictions the host meets you at the top of the stairs and shows you to your seats.

There is a lot of space for the wheelchair.

Access Host
Seat and Staging
Toilets
The access host was good.

They met us at the front door and escorted us around the side to our seats.

They checked on us during the interval. There is an app to allow delivery of refreshments to your seats in the interval and they instructed us on how to use this.

We sat in Dress Circle K16 and K17.

The wheelchair space was large enough for my power chair and the carer seat was next to it.

Access to the seats is easy along the back of the theatre. The seats are on the back row and as a result some of the stage was obstructed by the rows in front.
The staging of the show meant that some of the play was obscured by the ceiling which was a shame because the visuals and effects were amazing.

There were also people standing behind us who occasionally leaned forward onto my chair which was less that ideal.

There were two toilets located in the corridor next to the lift on the ground floor and the first floor. It was incredibly large and there was plenty of room to turn around or side transfer.

I visited in April 2024 and all views expressed above are my personal opinion.
It was my first visit to Phoenix Theatre
