Know Before You Go
The lift is small with restrictions and requiring a 90 degree turn to exit. The Ambassadors Theatre website states that chairs need to be 85cm wide x 120 cm long with a maximum weight of 400kg. See wheel with me video and contact theatre for more information.

ONCE INSIDE
EXIT
When accessing the Ambassors theatre the easiest route is via Upper St Martins Lane onto West Street. Approaching down West Street from Shaftesbury Avenue the pavement is narrow and often blocked by rubbish, similarly with Litchfield Street where tables and rubbish make access difficult. Access into the building is via a door at the side of the main entrance up a very small rubber ramp mat.
The wheelchair spaces are located in the stalls accessed via a platform lift. The Ambassadors Theatre website states that chairs need to be 85cm wide x 120 cm long with a maximum weight of 400kg. The access host will then escort you in the lift to the lower stalls level. It is important to note that when you enter the lift facing forward at the exit you will need to rotate the chair 90 degrees to the right
The stalls exit for the majority of the audience is at the front of the stalls. The accessible exit is at the rear of the stalls so its advisable to wait until other patrons have exited.
Access Host
This venue has an access host who will greet you at the door, show you to your seats and offer help and assistance throughout the show.
